Supervising Social Worker – Kinship Team

£42.00 per hour | Agency Contract

We Do Social Work are recruiting on behalf of a local authority for an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their dedicated Kinship Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive service committed to helping children remain safely within their family networks wherever possible. You'll work closely with kinship carers, providing assessment, supervision, and ongoing support to ensure children achieve the best possible outcomes.

The Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:

• Assess, supervise and support kinship carers.
• Complete statutory visits, assessments and reviews.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and carers to promote stability and positive outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to develop effective support plans.
• Ensure all practice is child-focused, strengths-based and in line with statutory guidance.
• Promote permanence and family-based care wherever it is safe and appropriate.

About You

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Previous experience as a Supervising Social Worker, Fostering Social Worker or within a Kinship Team.
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of fostering, kinship care and safeguarding legislation.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and carers.
