Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and education law matters
- Providing legal advice and representation on SEN Tribunal cases
- Advising on education legislation, policies, and statutory duties
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Supporting clients and stakeholders with clear and practical legal guidance
- Attending hearings, meetings, and negotiations where required
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with relevant practising experience
- Strong knowledge of SEN and education law
- Experience handling SEND Tribunal matters
- Excellent communication and case management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
Desirable
- Previous local authority or public sector experience
- Advocacy experience in SEND proceedings
