We Do Social Work is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Interim SEND Officer to join a forward-thinking Local Authority on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled SEND professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Ensure statutory deadlines and SEND legislation are met.
- Chair and contribute to annual reviews and multi-agency meetings.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies.
- Provide expert advice on SEND processes, legislation and best practice.
- Support service improvements and mentor junior team members where required.
Essential Requirements:
✔ Significant experience working within a Local Authority SEND Service.
✔ In-depth knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
✔ Proven experience managing complex EHCP cases.
✔ Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
✔ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
