About the Roles
We are seeking experienced and motivated Qualified Social Workers to join our service in two key non-case holding roles: Parenting Assessors and a Case Progression Officer. These roles are central to delivering high-quality, timely outcomes for children and families through robust assessment, planning, and partnership working.
Parenting Assessors (x3) – Remote
As a Parenting Assessor, you will undertake high-quality, evidence-based parenting assessments that directly inform safeguarding and permanence decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive, analytical parenting assessments
- Produce clear, high-quality reports suitable for court and care planning
- Work within statutory timescales and legal frameworks
- Contribute to robust, defensible decision-making for children and families
- Engage effectively with families and professionals to gather and analyse evidence
About You:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration
- Strong assessment and analytical report-writing skills
- Experience in court work and care proceedings
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding and permanence planning
Case Progression Officer (x1) – Hybrid
As a Case Progression Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and effective progression of pre-proceedings and care proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive forward pre-proceedings and care proceedings within statutory timescales
- Ensure high-quality evidence and clear care planning
- Liaise effectively with legal services and partner agencies
- Support the quality and consistency of assessments across services
- Monitor and track case progression to improve outcomes for children
About You:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration
- Strong understanding of legal processes and care proceedings
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to influence and work collaboratively across teams
- Experience in improving practice and driving timely case progression
