About the Role

Enfield has launched its new Family Help Service and Family Safeguarding practice model, placing greater emphasis on early intervention, effective multi-agency working and supporting children to remain safely within their families wherever possible.

Enfield Children in Care Service is seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner with strong experience in Children in Care, court proceedings, child protection and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of children in care.

• Undertake high-quality assessments and develop effective care plans.

• Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes and long-term stability.

• Work confidently with court proceedings and statutory processes.

• Assess and manage safeguarding and risk concerns.

• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and carers.

• Work effectively with multi-agency professionals and partner services.

• Deliver purposeful interventions that promote safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

• Maintain accurate case records and meet relevant statutory and service requirements.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Social Worker who has:

• At least 3 years’ experience working within Children in Care.

• Strong experience of court proceedings.

• Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.

• Strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.

• Experience managing complex caseloads independently.

• The ability to build effective relationships with children, families and professionals.

• A child-centred, strengths-based approach to social work practice.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
